tnx for all the vids Just bought a z8 and watch them all Very helpfull I hate manuals;-)
Hello, new guy on the block here. Glad I don't know what GIMP is. LOL. I am currently watching your 4 hour class and I must say you nailed it! You are an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable in your craft. I appreciate the effort and time you have put into your work!
Newbie here! Thank you! Import question: If I upload a bigger file (dimensions and/or pixels) of the same photo - Lightroom won't import and replace the smaller file? It just says "already imported" and then I am stuck with the lower res?
I just added "auto" to my import profile and now i got all my images autoprocessed right after import.
Thanks
Welcome
How to fix the error about loading model on some batch photos? Thank you
I like to learn from reading and watching videos.
How did you record your in camera monitor and take the photos?
DNG....Because they are a bit smaller...
Thanks for the great tips! I was aware of the rule of thirds but not fill the frame or minimalism.
A few things make me sad about buying Topaz. It’s like I have only one year of free updates, then I need to pay for one more year for around 150 bucks. They make updates a few times per month. The second thing is when I had an old Mac, it worked very, very slowly, and started rendering immediately after opening. On the old Mac, it was like I was waiting 5 minutes before I could make any adjustments. Why not make a render button. I bought Topaz almost a year ago and a new Mac just a week ago, and because it was so slow, I didn’t use Topaz at all. And in November, I should buy a one-year update to get updates. It makes me sad. If I buy Logic or DaVinci or many other apps, I don’t have things like “after one year you’re going to stop getting updates because we grow with AI magic.” DaVinci added some AI too.
Thank you so much
Photography is something new I would like to learn, it's out of my comfort zone. I just started watching the first hour of your tutorial. Already I'm starting to understand the basics a little more. Then I came across 'I Quit'. I am sure all who have watched your video's etc have learnt a lot -Thank you! I will continue to watch and learn. You continue to look after yourself, more health, strength and happiness to you🙂
When I remove background, how can add a new background, say, black or some color or a layer? thanks
It's encourang to hear you say beginners should STOP editing when your edited photo matches the shot you took. I also vote for an in-depth tutorial on the different tonal sliders.
Bro has 200k photos and no lag... WTF
I have a nikon D3100 and looking to upgrade as I learn more about photography, this really helped. Thank you

This is a CRITICAL piece of information. I discovered you can make different adjustment for PHOTO and VIDEO. Really great stuff!
I love both, reading and watching video. Quite interesting/
Thank you for all the videos on Luminar Neo. Each one has been very informative and helpful.
Thank you for making a tutorial that's super easy to understand for beginners like me.
The kind of video which I was searching for...thanks a ton!
Hello Parker, I just found your channel a few days ago and have already learned a bunch, Thanks for all that you do. I think that your one of the best teachers on UA-cam and I'm looking forward to learning even more from you. You seem like a very good person and I'm glad that I found you!
I have to read and reread. But I liked how you found poses that you liked and practiced them over and over and made them your own. I think looking at what others do and practicing is essential. Then fixing what went wrong with more practice. A brilliant physician (William Osler) famously said: inspiration comes to the prepared mind!
This email address is wrong. I don’t know how to update it.

Learn best by reading and practicing what I read hands on. I do learn by videos as well but, I am old fashion I prefer a book so I can flag pages and highlight sections
now I need to buy oreos ;)
You've got a follower and student. No more talking heads. Thank you
I'm sticking with you because you're appreciated!
You are a very good teacher, I love you your web site and keep them coming. About 1 year ago I bought a Nikon Coolpix 950 which is a super zoom camera(2000ml). Thanks💪🏻👍

Just bought and Downloaded the new 2024 Lightroom Classic. My interface does not look like yours show. How can I get it to look like yours.
Danke!
Thank you!
I could see this section to make comments when I was using my phone. Now that I am on my computer, I can write something. I have had the same experience where I saw a technique on UA-cam and / or read it somewhere, but then didn't use it right-away. As you shared, I also forgot it after a day or two. I have been thinking of your idea of getting ideas from other people's wonderful photos to improve my own photos. Thank you for your useful suggestions.
Thanks for the support!
interesting i have done the same that is looked at pic of wedding then recreate them in my vision
Thanks Chris! I like both methodologies to learn, but actually learned my basic skills in the darkroom and with the camera from masters at the craft and through practical experience. And you're right, that was a steep learning curve and expensive - to shoot a 36 roll and maybe, just maybe, get two good shots out of it. With the advent of affordable "how to" books and now with the Internet and videos, I have been able to quickly adapt to digital from film. I started as a photographer, then moved to motion picture film and television (video) for 40 years while photography became a side hustle. Now it's my main thing (at 73 no less) and I can't learn enough! You are a big part of sharing images, learning from others, and improving my technique. Thanks so much for being willing to take the time to share with all of us!!
Thanks for sharing and your continued support! Bigger things coming soon... i.e.; I'm moving the FB group to a better platform. More details coming in the next few days. Hope to see you there!
I like reading and watching videos. Complimenting that with a hands on mentoring session right afterwards would really make a huge difference, as it would provide immediate, expert feedback and flatten the learning curve.
Hey Don, I'm working on something that will be pretty close to that! Stay tuned... I'm making an announcement soon.
I prefer reading but if I need clarification on instruction I watch a tutorial.
I've used Topaz Photo AI since version 1.0. While I've not done comparisons like you did, it has worked well for me in almost all circumstances. I shoot a lot of photos (birds) at ISO 12800, and Photo AI has made that vast majority nearly perfect. Now, if Topaz could fix a few annoying bugs ...; but that is another story.
I am somewhat chagrinned to admit that I have not read any photography books since the mid 1980's. Since I got serious about photography in 2018, I confess I've depended on videos. That said, I'm a strong believer in practice, and I practice dealing with different camera settings, different lighting conditions (I shoot wildlife and they are unpredictable) as often as I can.
Hi Greg, I think practice is more important... as long as you analyze your images to see what worked and what didn't!
Thank you for your great videos. I started photography back with film, my grandfather was a professional photographer and he had a studio. He taught me lots of things, including lab development. He had lots of books around and I think I read them all. I changed to digital photography in 2010 and love it. Instead of 12, 24, 36, now I can take as many photos that I like of a subject. In my case, I still read books, but enjoy watching videos. I learn doing both as well as going out and taking as many photos as I can. Again, thanks for your instruction.
HI Ed, Thanks for sharing and your support!
Always reading books, then watching a UA-cam video on the subject and always practising, but with both digital & film.
Video
I love reading and watching movies 🎦
This was very helpful, thank you! I wish it supported user-generated metatags not just flags and favorites for organizing images.
Awesome tutorial, U deserve more views and subscribers than any other channel i have seen. Completely cleared any confusion and muddy concepts. New subscriber
Thanks for the video! Annoying part is, that Windows 11 keeps removing my access to desktop and wants me to force putting everyting in "User". For 30 years, I could set up my drive structure how I wanted it and it worked great! Now I have endless encroachment by Microshaft. Even when I reclaim ownwership of all drives, a week or so or at the latest with the next windows update its all fucked up again!
I’m excited. Love the idea of adopting an eye for lighting to shape image and color to tell a story.
The splinter of the branch left by the Topaz Photo AI tool on the branch stub looks more natural than the Photoshop one, the branch stub from Photoshop looks fuzzy, making it look obviously Photoshopped, Topaz doesn't look altered at all. So actually a win for Topaz. Your complaint about quality isn't valid...processing speed, yes.
